How to make an Irish Coffee

Ingredients:
Granulated Sugar
35.5ml Irish Whiskey – Powers Gold Label
¾ Cup Coffee (ready to drink black)
2 Tablespoons Whipped Cream

One of my all-time favourite drinks is an Irish Coffee. Only for the caffeine I think I could drink them all day. Before you get started I recommend warming the glass. This can be done under a hot tap or putting some hot water from the kettle in the glass.
Top Tip: Be careful not to break the glass by putting a spoon in the glass.
Once the glass has been put to the side filled with hot water the coffee needs to be made. This can be left to the maker and can range from a spoon of instant coffee with hot water, to a Nespresso machine capsule, to a traditional filter coffee. The important thing is to get a glass off medium strength coffee. Simply add a heaped teaspoon of sugar to the hot coffee and stir.
Next up is the whiskey. Again this can be a range from anything but my preference is Powers Gold Label. Add one Irish shot (35.5ml).
The final ingredient is the cream. Take a spoon and carefully place the cream on top of the coffee mixture.
Top Tip – If you want to make cream but not make a mess simply pour some cream into a jar and shake until whipped (roughly 2 mins)
To finish you can grate some chocalte over to give a more elegant finish.
And that’s it. You have your very own Irish Coffee. Just be careful they are extremely addictive.
